Description
In 1874, Colonel George Armstrong Custer led an expedition into the Hills and announced the discovery of gold on French Creek near present-day Custer, South Dakota. Custer's announcement triggered the Black Hills Gold Rush and gave rise to the lawless and rowdy town of Deadwood. It is now a Gambling town and is known for its history of characters such as Wild Bill Hickok, Al Swearengen, Jack McCall, Wyatt Earp, Seth Bullock, and Calamity Jane. Deadwood in 2004 was made into an American western television series on HBO.

I live here. Was probably working in the art gallery just up from the Bodega where you pointed the camera. Was that this years 80th Rally?
